All living things need food to live.
Green plants can make their own food but animals cannot make their own food.
Animals can be grouped into three groups based on the types of food they eat.
- herbivores- animals that eat plants only.
- carnivores- animals that eat meat only.
- omnivores- animals that eat both plants and other animals.
